What is a Serigraph?
Serigraphy is a silk-screen printing process in which a stencil is used to mask areas of a fine mesh (at one time, silk; more recently, artificial fabrics); ink is then forced through the unmasked areas of mesh onto paper to make the final image. Each color used in the final image requires the silk-screener to make a separate screen, masked so as to allow only that particular color to print.

Claude Fauchere is a French painter, born in 1936 in Paris. He graduated from College des Arts Appliques and Ecole Superieure Nationale des Metiers d'Art. Fauchere's paintings are a mix of abstraction and figuration, the composition is well-structured and in bright colors. He has been the official painter of the Navy for almost twenty years, in which his goal is to deliver artistic testimonies of Navy's mission.
Claude Fauchere enjoys worldwide recognition, his creations are exhibited in several galleries around the world, during solo and group exhibitions. He has received many awards over his career.Along with other leading exponents of France's famous School of Paris such as Picasso, Matisse, Chagall and Dufy, Fauchère bequeaths to art lovers around the world his unique view of romance and the beauty of daily life in his native land.
